WelcomeVideo Collection

Have we got a video? *Yes* we've got a video!

Here is a list of some of the films etc. that I have in my video collection. I don't know why you might want to know this information, but here it it nevertheless.

  • Bugsy Malone
Dead good gangster-type frollick starring a cast of children, including a young Jodie Foster. Full of great songs, and almost guaranteed to entertain people of all ages. This is the one with the splurge guns, remember?
  • The Great Escape
Yup, that's the smegger - the story of a bunch of chaps incarcerated in a German prisoner-of-war camp and their escape via a tunnel. Featuring an all-star cast, this film always leaves you wondering if Hilts will ever make it over the fence.
  • The Terminator
"I'll be back." Yes, this is the film that really launched Arnold Schwarzenegger's career. Starring our Arnie as a futuristic cyborg-type thing sent back in time to kill a woman before she can bear her son. Smashing stuff, and a great deal more satisfying than the rather disappointing Terminator 2.
  • Alien
Aaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Of course, you won't have heard that, 'cos as we all know "In (cyber)space no one can hear you scream." =)
  • Aliens
Sequel to Alien, the version which I have is the Special Edition which is fine except for that stupid part about Ripley's daughter. I hate that part.
  • The Rocky Horror Picture Show
I'm just a sweet transvestite, from Traaaanssexual, Transyyylvaniaaaaaah, ha, ha! Are you a virgin? If so, remedy it at once, and rent this movie! I could explain what it's about, but that might serve to spoil it somewhat. Just nip down to your local vidstore, hire this out and give yourself over to absolute pleasure.
  • The Blues Brothers
You. Me. Them. Everybody. Everybody needs to see this film at least once in their life. Go on - you deserve it. If this don't set your toes a-tappin' you must be deader 'n flares, man.
  • Red Dwarf, series 1 - 6
Marvellous. Simply marvellous. The BBC science-fiction comedy series about a small group of, erm, "people" who are somewhere in space, at least three million years away from Earth. Get these videos and crease up to the adventures of Lister, Rimmer, The Cat, Kryten and Holly. If you wanna know more, you could go to my alt.tv.red-dwarf homepage and jump from there to one of the other Red Dwarf Web sites which are listed.
  • Predator
  • Platoon, pan&scan and widescreen
  • Full Metal Jacket
  • Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi
Yeah, the Star Wars trilogy. Smashing, science fiction space-set fairytale, good versus evil type thing. My copies are all widescreen - it's the only way to go! Unfortunately, there is so much redundant space above and below the picture that they get a tad lost on any TV which is less than monster. Feel the Force!
  • Point Break
  • Blake's 7
  • It's a Wonderful Life
Aaaaah. Gotta be one of the ultimate feel-good movies ever made. Get it, watch it - your heart will love you forever.
  • Harvey
A charming tale about a chap who's main companion is an invisible 6'3" rabbit.
  • Dragon, the Bruce Lee Story

Pointless, huh?
