![]() I am one of those rare people who likes to remember the ALT, WIDTH and HEIGHT tags when I place an image on a Web page I'm writing. However, I found it a bit of a nuisance having to turn to Paint Shop Pro every time I needed the dimensions of an image, so I decided to knock up a little applet that would enable me to retrieve those dimensions. I decided that the same time was as good a time as any to specify the text for the ALT tag, and the link URL if the image was to link somewhere. Saves me typing, see? Anyway, here it is. I just knocked it up for my own use, but you are welcome to use it too, if you like. Because I just wrote it for my own use, it's not as user-friendly as it might be. By this I mean that it will not save its settings and it won't automatically get the dimensions of anything but GIFs. This is because I tend to use GIFs far more often than any other format, and they're the only format that I know how to find the dimensions from! Still, the source code is included with the program, so if you have the tools necessary you can add other file types. Err, that's about it.
